Q: Do all the recessed lighting trim kits(example: #5468-63, Nouveau Recessed Trim) fit 6" recessed lights? The width on this trim kits is 8". Also, do the trim kits need to be installed when the light itself is installed or can it be done after installation?

A: The answer to your question is No. Not all trim will fit all cans. The best thing to do is look at the can and find the manufactor. The trims can be changed out at anytime. You don't have to install them at the same time as the cans.
