The fan is beautiful. One difficulty exists in mounting the alabaster glass cover...mating a four inch rod onto a screw in the upper fan assembly. Finally, this fan is too loud for a bathroom. We installed one in the master bath and one in the laundry. We are replacing the master bath fan and storing it as a laundry replacement fan. For the price, it could be 2.5 sones.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
